Freecreditreport.com Freecreditscore.com band is back

Good news. The Freecreditscore.com (formerly Freecreditreport.com) faux band, discontinued in 2010 in favor of real band American Secrets (I thought they were okay), has been brought back with their distinct brand of fun "our look is slacker chic and our sound is hardcore, and we're here to drop a rhyme about free credit score".

Add: #2 in the new series.

The Adweek announcement with production credits. The ad series is by the Martin Agency of GEICO fame. The songs are by David Muhlenfeld. Their 9 commercials from 2007-2009. The actors portraying the band are Eric Violette (singer), Vincent Charron (blonde bass player), and Mario Telaro (dark-haired drummer), who are actual musicians, although the songs in the commercials are dubbed.

I give credit to Freecreditscore.com for giving the "original band" back to their fans despite that the ad campaign overshadows the somewhat suspect company they advertise:
Ironically, Experian's site isn't quite free. You can sign up for a free seven-day trial membership, but if you don't cancel the service, its costs $16.95 per month. Under federal law, consumers are entitled to one free credit report from each of the credit bureaus every 12 months. You can sign up for those actual free reports at AnnualCreditReport.com.
