Jeremy Lin withdraws from Select Team

Ouch. Lin is withdrawing from the Select Team to protect his free agency. By withdrawing from the Select Team, Lin may have handicapped himself for future Team USA consideration, unless he does very well in the NBA. Ex-Knicks forward David Lee withdrew from the Select Team to protect his free agency in 2008 and he hasn't been invited back to the program. It should have been a good training experience for Lin.

I hope his knee is okay and he's not withdrawing from the Select Team because he's afraid of revealing something to teams that might offer him a contract.
