Medal of Honor awarded to Sergeant First Class Paul Smith

SFC Paul Smith is the first American serviceperson awarded the Medal of Honor for Operation Iraqi Freedom. It is the first Medal of Honor awarded since Master Sergeant Gary Gordon and Sergeant First Class Randall Shughart received their MOHs for their actions in Mogadishu, Somalia. Like the two famous Delta operators, SFC Smith's medal is posthumous, as so many Medals of Honor have been.

Read about Sergeant First Class Paul Smith. Remember him and tell his story.
